A little further

Finished the sky and a majority of the white areas. Into the final fun finishes of satin stitching.

Finished a project

Finished a sampler! But it was a mini sampler. This was an improvised pattern stitched on 60 count silk gauze.

Elizabeth Sheffield - A Scarlet Letter Sampler

Elizabeth Sheffield

Elizabeth Sheffield is a Scarlett Letter sampler that may never be finished for one reason - cross stitch over one thread. I don't know why I find it so painful. The silk palette is amazing, which will make this one worth it.

Elizabeth Pain - A Scarlet Letter sampler

Elizabeth Pain

Elizabeth Pain is another Scarlet Letter sampler that is in progress. It's about half way done, with lots of back stitch to be completed. This is a fun one, and looks great stitched.

Susan Singleton

Susan Singleton, a reproduction sampler by The Scarlet Letter, is a project that has been nearly finished for over a year now.  I keep putting it away because of boredom with stitching only in cross stitch, and stitching sections in white, which feels pointless at times.

What's the Point?

Starting new projects is fun and easy, but something always comes up which makes finishing them a little trickier, be it a complicated, tedious step, or just general ADD.  The purpose of this blog is to post progress and basically shame myself into finishing things. My projects tend to focus on knitting, crochet, reproducing antique samplers, and dollhouse miniatures.  Other things may pop up, like baking or making homemade ice cream.
